Real glass for
moving pictures.
Every other effect in this category blurs what’s behind it. Nx LiquidGlass Pro bends it — with the same equation a lens designer would use.

Every frame below is the plugin on ordinary clips — no compositing tricks, no painted highlights. Scroll through, or drag.

The full physical chain, per pixel.
Nx LiquidGlass builds a real thickness field — how much glass sits under every pixel — and traces light through it. Inside, light travels the whole path a physicist would draw, and every stage is a control you can grade with.
Snell refraction
Displacement traced through the surface normal of a real thickness field. 1.0 is physically correct; push it for style.
Wavelength dispersion
Colour splits from a real Abbe number — at the curved edge, and only at the edge, because that is the only place light bends.
Beer–Lambert absorption
Tint follows the actual light path: nearly clear at the thin rim, saturated through the thick middle.
Fresnel reflection
Faces you look straight through; grazing angles turn mirror-like. The rim catches the world the way real glass does.
GGX specular
A physically-based highlight from a light source you position — and sweep across the material over time.
Caustics
Focused light pools where the lens converges it — in the shadow, through the body, and chromatically split by dispersion.
It moves like liquid because it is modelled as liquid.

Drops that behave like drops.
They reach for each other before they touch. Surface tension thickens the neck where two bodies fuse. Ripples bend the light instead of wobbling the outline — the caustics answer the wave. And every entrance rides a spring, with per-shape stagger for title work.

Type it. Pour glass on it.
Feed any title, logo or matte through the source alpha and it becomes letterform glass — a real dome of thickness on every stroke, refracting the footage you wire into the Backdrop input.
Two nodes in Resolve, one layer in Premiere or After Effects. The manual walks through the hookup for every host.

Shadows you can see through.
Clear glass throws a shadow with a bright core — the light that made it through, focused where the lens converges. Frost and dye deepen and colour the floor; cast caustics land the glow at the refracted spot, split into a spectrum by dispersion.
Then set the key light moving: Light Sweep pendulums the highlight, rim and shadow together, at zero per-pixel cost.

A pane you can tilt, with edges that exist.
The card is a real slab: tilt it and the silhouette foreshortens, the walls absorb along the chord, and displacement follows the physics of thickness. Lift it off the plate and the shadow softens with the gap, one end sharper than the other.
Face-on it costs nothing — the 3D layer is bypassed, not approximated.
Eleven materials. One popup.
A preset loads a complete material — optics, lighting response, motion behaviour — and leaves your shapes, camera and light direction alone. Switching presets on a finished layout never destroys it.
