Physically-Based Decorative Glass Engine for Resolve
Nx FlexiGlass is a physically-based decorative glass engine for DaVinci Resolve, designed to turn any shot into stunning architectural glass with true optical behavior. Featuring 24 handcrafted patterns—from ribbed and geometric styles to vintage figured glass, mandalas, bubbles, hammered textures, Voronoi, honeycomb, Truchet, Turing, and more—FlexiGlass recreates the look of premium shower doors, privacy windows, and classic architectural glasswork with unmatched realism.
Powered by real refraction physics, FlexiGlass uses accurate IOR, Fresnel reflections, and surface gradients to simulate how light actually bends and scatters through textured glass. Fine-tune your look with advanced lighting controls including shadow/highlight color pickers, tinting with thickness absorption, frosted diffusion with directional bias, chromatic dispersion with per-channel IOR, caustics, double refraction, internal scatter, dichroic color shifting, highlight bloom, surface profiles, and selective alpha-based masking. The Source Normal mode derives glass distortion directly from your image content.
For crafting stylized transitions, enhancing product shots, adding depth to UI elements, or creating cinematic privacy-glass looks, Nx FlexiGlass delivers a complete, high-fidelity glass simulation toolkit—all inside Resolve.

Decorative Glass Patterns
From classic ribbed and fluted glass to hexagons, voronoi, honeycomb etc., — a comprehensive library of glass styles.
True IOR-Based Refraction
Uses real index of refraction physics to calculate how light bends through glass surfaces, not just generic distortion.
Physically-Accurate Fresnel Reflections
Implements Schlick’s Fresnel approximation for realistic edge reflections that intensify at grazing angles — just like real glass.
Chromatic Aberration / Dispersion
Wavelength-dependent refraction separates RGB channels based on IOR, creating authentic prismatic color fringing at glass edges.
Thickness-Based Light Absorption
Thicker glass regions absorb more light and show stronger tint — following Beer-Lambert absorption principles.
Frosted Glass Diffusion
Gaussian-distributed light scattering with adjustable roughness and directional bias for realistic frosted or etched glass looks.
Caustics Simulation
Light-focusing patterns with adjustable strength, sharpness, and scale—creates bright spots where curved glass concentrates light.
Advanced Optical Effects
Double refraction for thick glass, internal scatter for milky/opal appearance, and dichroic color shifting with dual color pickers for iridescent effects.
Glass Tinting & Dynamic Lighting
Full color tinting with thickness-based absorption, adjustable light angle, shadow/highlight controls for dimensional, colored architectural glass effects.
